Lisa London, CPA, is the author of the popular Accountant Beside You series, a series written to help non-accountants understand the accounting needs of churches, nonprofits, & small businesses. I am a congregational president who REALLY needed an instructional book that could give me 1) an overview 2) as well as some pointers and how to do X. This book was perfect. It is practical, to the point, and doesn't waste you time with detail after detail so that you cannot find the forest for the trees. There is a clear path.This book is ideal for 1) the small or startup church or 2) the church that has been around for 50+ years and has picked up a bunch of bad habits. I will leave you to guess which is true in our case.
Very through handbook for special small churches and religious organizations. The author "knows her stuff." I have been working in accounting and finance for about 40 years and was a CPA (now retired), so I believe I can judge her guide.
